A graduate of Pratt Institute, Eileen Kennedy also studied at the Hartford Art School and the Art Students League. Since the early 80s she has exhibited her narrative, figurative paintings and drawings throughout New Jersey, New York City, Philadelphia and beyond. For many years an oil painter, Kennedy transitioned to silverpoint and egg tempera ten years ago because these media were more attuned to her linear style. Kennedy is a past recipient of an artist fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and her work has been reviewed in the Asbury Park Press, Star Ledger, Philadelphia Inquirer, New York Times and American Art Collector Magazine.
