2018 Salmagundi Open Photography Exhibition:


Marilyn Baldi, Hal Kahn and Vince Matulewich have been accepted into the 40th Annual 2018 Salmagundi Open Photography Exhibition.  Marilyn’s “Geisha”, Hal’s “Best Friends” and “Twilight of a Warrior” and Vince’s "Himalayan Blue Poppy" and "Newark Penn Station Serendipity" can be viewed at The Salmagundi Club,  Forty-Seven  Fifth Avenue @ Twelfth Street,  New York, NY, between  July 23 - August 03, 2018.


Michael Scherfen has also been accepted into this show.


Vince Matulewich has been accepted into the 2018 Salmagundi Open Photography Exhibition.


His "Laundry Day Sulawesi" will be on display at the  THE SALMAGUNDI CLUB47 Fifth Ave., NYC from March 26 - April 6, 2018.


Lois Kiely shared a two women show with Diane Novobilsky this summer at the Turner Gallery on Deal Road in Ocean Township.  The show was well attended and Lois sold a number of paintings.  Lois also sold a painting that was part of a "Tiny Art" show at the Herberger Gallery in Phoenix, Arizona where she spends the winters.  Chicken Soup for the Soul for Military Families anthology featured her short story entitled, "My Father's Voice." Lois has been making presentations and doing book signings to raise funds for The Township of Ocean Historical Society and T.A.P.S. (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors).


Vicky Culver has been awarded the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement by Marquis Who’s Who, and is included in the Marquis Who’s Who Top Professional Series.


Judi Gilden received the Genevieve Cain Award for Watercolor at the National Arts Club 117th Exhibiting Artist Members Exhibition, The National Arts Club, NY., NY. Her painting, “Anna” is part of the American Artists Professional League, Inc., “Members Only Online Portrait Theme Show” online at AAPLINC.ORG.


Judi's painting, “Sunlight on the Vine” was juried into the Allied Artists of America, Inc., 103rd Annual Exhibition, Salmagundi Club, 47 Fifth Avenue, NY, NY


On September 1, 2016, Vince Matulewich was awarded “Best in Show - Photography” at the 2016 Canterbury Art Show...A Tapestry of the Arts hosted by the St. George’s-by-the River Episcopal Church for his photograph of a Pink Hibiscus.  This was his second consecutive “Best in Show - Photography” at the Canterbury Art Show.  In March, Pink Hibiscus was awarded First Place - Photography at The Anniversary Show of the Art Society of Monmouth County.


Sol Hara on his first place award in the State of NJ Senior Art Show for his pastel painting. First, he won for Monmouth County (first place non-professional pastels). Then he went on to win the state competition among the first prize winners in all counties of NJ. Congratulations, Sol!


Vicky Culver won a judge's award from the FAS this fall for "One's Point of View, Too" photo collage. Congratulations Vicky!



Sisters by Lois Wilkes


Lois Wilkes is pleased to announce in August 2017 that she won 1st place in Photography and Best in Show at the Monmouth County Senior Art Show for her photograph entitled Sisters.  All category 1st place winners advanced to the NJ State Senior in September 2017.  We are pleased to announce that Lois won an Honorable Mention in that show.
