We are pleased to announce our MARCH exhibit with monetary awards and an extra pre-registration receiving date for members who work during the week as well as a new category: Copy Cats! Please check out our details below:

Ernie Antholis and Ken Klohn are co-chairs of the members-only March show.

  • The Oldies but Goodies exhibit will take place at the Middletown Township Public Library in March (March 4-March 30 with Reception on March 30). Receiving is March 4 from 9:30-12n.
  • There will be the usual five categories (Oils/Acrylics; Watercolor; Pastel; Photography; and Mixed/Other.)
  • Depending upon how many entries we receive in each of those categories, adjustments may be made. That will take place at the end of Receiving with the decision by Ken, Ernie, and Vince. For example, oils and acrylics may be separated into two categories as we did in November.
  • Another category, Copy-cats, will be added. This category is for artworks copied from famous artists. It can be an actual copy, or in the style of a particular artist. It will be one category regardless of medium entered. Three awards will given based on the theme, not the medium. So an award could be for an oil or a pastel or a photograph based on artistic quality, precision, and creative use of the medium.
  • Monetary awards will be offered as well as non-monetary "Achievement" ribbons in all categories.
  • Two artworks per artist ($5 each entry) will be accepted. They may be in any category or two may be in one. Size restriction: 36" on longest side.
  • Only one cash prize will be awarded per artist, regardless of category
  • NSF will be accepted
  • No age restriction will be placed on production of artwork
  • For sold works during the Exhibit, 20% commission is to ASMC
  • The show will judged by artist Dannielle Mick on Monday March 4 at 12:30pm
  • NEW: For those members who work on Monday (Receiving Day), Ernie, Vince and Helen will hold a Saturday afternoon Receiving Day on 3/2/19 for pre-registered; by appointment only for members from 3-4:30pm at the Library. This is not for those who can bring their artwork on Monday from 9:30am-12pm*. Online submission forms will be available shortly.
